Stuff You Don't Need to Worry About

John Tierney is the best. This morning in his New York Times Science Times column, he lists 10 things to remove from your worry list, ranging from plastic bags to killer hot dogs to unmarked wormholes. That whole unmarked wormhole thing really caused me a lot of grief when my son was about 8. He read about the possibility of their existence in a a kid's astronomy book, and we spent a few anxious months looking around corners and behind trees for possible wormholes. The experience left me with the conviction that astronomy books need parental advisory labels, too, just like XBox games, CDs, etc.
Enjoy! It's a great column.
